Organized Homework Caddy – To Go!

by katie

Hey, guys! Today I wanted to visit my daughter’s homework caddy that I put together a few months ago. For a long time, she would come home from school, go in her room and get all of her supplies. On a day-to-day basis, she’d need different things. Often, I’d have to help her or go get things she needed because the kitchen table is where she prefers to do her homework. With this little caddy, it makes it so much easier for her to keep things all in one place and know exactly where to find it all. Even though these items are meant just for her homework, I’ve put them inside so she can bring it from room to room for various art projects or a quick coloring sesh. So,  let’s get into it, shall we?

Below are close up images for you to see what I have going on. Here’s a list of basic essentials that I find are important.

  • Scissors
  • Crayons
  • Pencils (A snap-close case works great so they don’t fall around.)
  • Rulers
  • Calculator (I don’t encourage the use, but it’s there just in case.)
  • Bookmarks (The owl and the rainbow clips for her reading log. I found these at an arts festival.)
  • Glue sticks
  • Erasers (Hers are in the princess pouch.)
  • Pencil Sharpener

How do you organize school supplies?

Great idea! My kids tend to sit at a table for homework but sometimes they bring it with us if we are going to an after school activity for their sibling. I've been thinking I need to put together a portable homework pack for the car.
