I’ve been wanting to do a Dahlia wreath ever since I first saw it. I thought it would be so fun to make and accent my home wonderfully, but I haven’t had the time. I even had a cardboard box sitting in my pantry for the past month or two just so I could make it. Then, I finally found the time!
I came across many tutorials on how to make one and then I came across this one that made it so easy to follow. Because her directions are so easy to understand, I’ve opted out of doing my own tutorial so that you can follow her instructions. Honestly, I couldn’t have put it better myself so if you’re interested in creating one of your own, check out Amanda’s tutorial over at Mommity.com.
Now, without further adieu, here’s how my wreath came out!
I used basic items to create mine from things around my home so this project was absolutely free to make! I used an old book, glue and a cardboard box to cut out the circle. The burlap ribbon I used to hang it is from a previous project.
I’m trying to figure out where to hang it. I originally made it for above my bed but may just end up putting it in my living room.
Thanks for stopping by to check out my project!

Wow, that's so pretty! I love it over the bed, I think it compliments the rooms colors perfectly. (Found you on Merry Monday and pinning.)
Thank you, Meredith!
I really like your bedding set. The wreath is really great too! Visiting from Two Uses Tuesday.
Thank you, Stephanie!
Without further ado (let's hope it's not goodbye!), I really like your wreath!
Oh my goodness Kate! That's absolutely gorgeous! I love it so much because I'm in the process of planning my own DIY vintage themed wedding and have been looking for various crafts to style the wedding. My late Nanna was a great dahlia enthusiast and how fitting it would be to make this in her honour. I can't wait to get started on it. Thanks so much for sharing at Thriving on Thursdays. I'm featuring this at tomorrow's party. Hope to see you again soon.

What a pretty and original wreath!
This is incredible and the best part is that it was made free!!!! Love to hear more on how it stands up to dust and humidity. Thank you for sharing on Merry Monday.
I hope it stands up. Summer is coming and I'll have to let you know! My sister said the same thing about the dust. I hope it isn't that bad! Thanks for stopping by, Rachel!

This looks amazing! I am definitely going to go and watch the tutorial on this! Curious how long it took you to do it. Happy to be visiting as your neighbor at the Linkup at Monday of Many Blessings.
I saw a small image for this post on a link party, I would have never guessed it to be paper. So clever!
