Delicious Chicken and Pasta Recipe

by The Organized Dream

I’ve made this recipe every once in a while for a few years now. There’s nothing like a bowl full of pasta and mixing some fresh vegetables in creates just the right amount of crisp and color. Add chicken and you have a great dish your family will love!

Prepare your ingredients for this recipe. You’ll need a can of stewed tomatoes, one green pepper cut into 1″ pieces, a half cup of chopped onion, a pound of chicken cut into 1″ pieces, 2 cups of pasta (of your choice), one teaspoon of oregano, a half teaspoon of garlic powder and salt and pepper to taste.

Cook pasta according to directions. Over medium heat, heat oil. Add chicken, pepper and onion. Add your seasonings. Fry until chicken is cooked through and peppers and onions are tender.

Add tomatoes from the can. DO NOT drain. The juice acts as the sauce. Break tomatoes with your spatula or spoon into smaller pieces. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to reduce liquid.
Add the pasta to the pan and heat through. You can garnish your dish with grated Parmesan cheese like I did below or add red pepper flakes for a little spice!

Delicious Chicken & Pasta

What You’ll Need:

  • 2 Cups of Pasta (Your Choice!)
  • 2 teaspoons of Canola Oil
  • 1 lb. Chicken Cut into 1″ Pieces
  • 1 Green Pepper Cut into 1″ Pieces
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Onion
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • Salt & Pepper To Taste
  • 1 Can Stewed Tomatoes

Cook pasta according to directions. Over medium heat, heat oil. Add chicken, pepper and onion. Add your seasonings. Fry until chicken is done and veggies are tender. Add tomatoes. DO NOT drain juice. Break tomatoes into chucks with your spatula or spoon. Bring to a boil then simmer to reduce liquid. Add pasta and heat through. Garnish with Parmesan cheese or red pepper flakes.

Pairs well with a salad and bread sticks.

Bon Apetit!

This looks amazing, can't wait to try at home for me and the hubby. We normally buy the big frozen pre-made versions of this meal, but one serving never really fills me up. I have a feeling, the homemade version would probably be a lot more filling!

This is a whole lot better. I make this in replace of the frozen version and it costs less depending on where you shop.
