Children’s Closet Organization

by The Organized Dream

Have a closet with so much stuff and don’t know what to do? Well, so have I so I thought I’d share my daughter’s closet with you guys to maybe get the organizing juices flowing. I’ve completely organized it lately and it has worked out wonderful so far. It’s so much easier for her to put things away and keep it neat. Since my daughter uses her room for both a play room and a bedroom, it was rather tough for me to try to fit everything. Ultimately, this is what I’ve come up with.

The overall look.
The basket is to store her gloves, hats and scarves for winter.
These bins hold all of her activities and school work in one place.
The top shelf I use to store all of her board games, large crafts and the laundry basket holds miscellaneous.
Her crayons and homework caddy are on a shelf all their own so they can be easily accessed for her daily needs.
These bins are labelled to organize her shoes.
All of the labels in her closet I made with cardstock and attached them with ties.
She has a lot of clothes to hang up with minimal room so I used bag ties to hang shirts and dresses from one another.
Finally, on her door is a hook for her hats and belts and a simple Command Hook to hold her school bags to keep them within reach.
I hope this has given you some ideas. Thanks for visiting!
