An Easy Way To Center Your Blogger Menu

by katie

If you use Blogger like I do and utilize their menu widget, you know how frustrating it is to not have it centered. In this post, I’m going to show you how I did it and you won’t believe how easy really is!

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

The first thing to do is to add the code you need to create your drop down menu. There are two steps to do so and some experience in HTML and CSS coding is needed for this. After deciding what will be in the menu and subcategories, use this tutorial from xomisse.com. It’s the one I used and it’s so easy to follow.

I’ve tried many different tutorials that show how to center the Blogger menu, but I ended up figuring it out for myself and thought I’d share it with you!

After adding the codes you need and you have everything the way you want it, track back to the CSS code you added to your template and search for the section circled below.

Where it says ‘Padding:”, add the number you want to create enough space between each tab. I chose 40px, but if you have more tabs than I do, you may want to use a lower number. If you’re unsure of exactly where to edit, count down to the third instance ‘Padding’ is mentioned. 🙂

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

Preview your template between alterations to make sure it’s the way you want and click Save Template when you’re done.
That’s it! I have finally figured out how to center my menu. It works for me and hopefully it works for you! If you have any questions, leave them in the comments below and I’ll do my best to help. 🙂
